A vibrant and growing community like Colleyville attracts new residents from around the country. Many of them look to the new, upscale neighborhoods that are being built in the area. It is no overstatement to say that the excellent quality of life in Colleyville is something unusual. Small town charm and warmth, along with stunning homes, a marvelously well-situated location in northeast Tarrant County, and schools that are among the best in the region make Colleyville one of the most attractive places to live in the entire Dallas Fort Worth district.

In the 1980s, city leaders decided to concentrate development of single family homes on large lots. As a result, Colleyville has become famous for its luxurious country homes and fashionable neighborhoods. In recent years, high-end villas and terrace homes also have been added to Colleyville's housing blend.

There are many fine new home neighborhoods to choose from in Colleyville. One is Ashmore. This posh neighborhood in southeast Colleyville contains about 70 homes. These homes were constructed from 1991 to 2001. The typical lot size is close to half an acre, and the neighborhoods is in the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District. Neighborhood amenities include: a neighborhood park, a greenbelt, neighborhood lake, jogging and bike paths, a children’s playground and a homeowners association. Among recently sold homes, the median sales price was $584,000. The average house size was about 5,000 square feet.

In southwest Colleyville lies the fine neighborhood of Brook Meadows. This neighborhood has around 150 homes that were built between 1985 and 1994. The typical lot sizes range from .3 to .75 acre. This community is in the Grapevine-Colleyville school district. The neighborhood amenities include a greenbelt, a community park, jogging and bike path and a home owners association. Recently, the median sale price of homes in Brook Meadows has been $466,000 and the median house size has been 3600 square feet.

Another great new neighborhood is Clairemont, in northwest Colleyville. This new development is expected to contain about 90 homes when it is finished. The first houses were built in 2000 and the typical lot size is about half an acre. Clairemont is in the Keller Independent School District. Some of the neighborhood amenities are a private lake/pond, gated community entrance and a home owners association. Recently sold homes have averaged a $770,000 sales price. The average house size is about 5200 square feet.

One final newer neighborhood that home buyers might want to consider is Remington Park. This community, located in northwest Colleyville, is a master planned neighborhood of about 180 homes. The houses were constructed from 1999 to 2005 and the typical lot size varies from .25 to .75 acre. This community is within both the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District and Keller Independent School District. The community amenities include: a neighborhood club house, community swimming pool, tennis courts, a sports court, neighborhood park, greenbelt, neighborhood lake/pond, jogging and bike path, a children’s playground and a homeowners association. Recently sold pre-owned homes had a median price of $615,000 and the average house size is about 4400 square feet.
