Frisco Texas
The city of Frisco, Texas is located straight north of Dallas Texas, just a little past Plano. It has the advantage of being near the major arteries of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, yet is set back away from the hustle, bustle, and noise of the big city. It has a lot of the conveniences of being near a major metropolis without having the problems of the city.
Frisco Community Information
This town is one of America’s fastest growing municipalities, and is popular for its sports, performing arts, fine art displays, and great shopping. It also has a booming accommodations industry, and has become more and more popular for business meetings, conventions, and travelers.
Frisco school children are served by the Frisco Independent School District. This district is well aware of its responsibility to a growing population, and is ready and able to serve in the areas of standard curriculum, special needs, and new initiatives. The FISD is also dedicated to providing diverse staff so that all needs can be met.
Frisco Real Estate
Frisco is a relatively new incorporation, and so Frisco homes are generally new and fresh compared to the older sections of the DFW area. Most Frisco homes range from about $300k to around $600K, but you can find price ranges from $200K to over $1 million. Because the area is new, you will find mostly new home developments in Frisco and newer construction that feature the latest designs and home styles.
Frisco Entertainment
Frisco is rapidly becoming a center of entertainment for the North Dallas suburban area. The Great Steak of Texas is one of the favorites, with events that celebrate the history of Frisco, such as cattle drives, running with the bulls, and many other events. There is always lots of food and activities for the kiddies.
Another one of the favorites is the Frisco Freedom Fest on July 4th. This festival offers dancers, singers, local bands, exhibitions, and much more. There is also the Hometown
Heroes Exhibit, which features the police and fire departments and their fine equipment. Make sure if you are in the area on July 4 that you don’t miss the Freedom Fest. There is far too much entertainment to list in this small paragraph, so check the Internet for this year’s shows.
Frisco Shopping
Frisco is growing by leaps and bounds, so its retail centers must do the same. Currently there are lots of varied choices for shopping, including the Stonebriar Centre with over 160 stores, an ice skating rink, and carousel, to the historic downtown area with its quaint atmosphere and specialty boutiques.
Frisco Recreation and Entertainment
There is also a lot to do in Frisco, including the rec centers, parks, arts, professional sports, and more. The Texas Sculpture Garden is the largest private collection ever assembled of Texas contemporary sculpture, and contains works by prominent Texas artist.
