Wylie, Texas

An up and coming community, Wylie, Texas, has a population of 33,000 people at the present time.  Most remarkably about Wylie is the fact that the median age of residents of this Dallas area berg is 30.  In other words, Wylie has become a most vibrant city thanks to the presence of young families and other young men and women beginning their lives.

In addition, nearby Levon Lake is a tremendous 21,000 acre delight.  Levon Lake offers camping, swimming, fishing, boating and hunting.  Families and individuals from across Texas take advantage of this prime recreational site.

Wylie Town Square

Rounding out the unique, comfortable feel of Wylie is a quaint town square.  The July Jubilee community celebration is held on the square and includes food, shopping and even a lively dance.  Wylie also hosts a summer concert series in the city park that include up and coming musicians as well as well known and well established performers from around the state and country.  Truly being a family community, on Halloween, the downtown merchants sponsor a safe zone where children can happily trick or treat.

At the present time, an indoor recreational complex is under construction in Wylie that, when complete, will house facilities for a wide range of sports as well as fitness training.  The recreational complex will be a first rate center unequaled in the entire Dallas and Ft. Worth region.  The facility will have offerings from people of all ages from children to senior citizens.
