In Dallas: 

Halloween Family Fun
Join us at the Dallas Arboretum for trick or treating at the Storybook Playhouses on Saturday at 10-3pm. Also this weekend the Magic Man kid’s magician on Saturday 12-4pm and Sunday 1-4pm and face painting on Saturday 12-4pm and Sunday 1-4pm. 

Pumpkin Pandemonium
Dress up as heroes or beasts and trick-or-treat on Cat Green. This not-so-scary evening celebration for Halloween features magicians, games, shows, animal encounters, and more. 

Haunting and Healing
Halloween event. Are you experiencing paranormal activity in your home? Have you lost your faith and don’t know where to turn? Join us for a most unusual, enlightening, and unforgettable evening of haunting, healing, and deliverance where anything can happen and probably will. Seating is limited. Register now for this unique and exciting paranormal event. Tickets are $20 pre-registration now, or $30 at the door. Fri @ 7-10pm; Sat & Sun @ 6-9pm. 

Grossology Halloween hosted by Sci-Tech
Get into the icky and sticky spirit of Halloween with Sci-Tech Discovery Center’s Grossology Halloween Party. Kids of all ages are invited to spend the day among Costume Contest! Grossology: The (impolite) Science of the Human Body will be featured at the Sci-Tech Discovery Center. 

Royal Masquerade Ball
What better way to escape reality and break the Halloween mold than to dance the night away in an 11th century castle. No Masquerade Ball would be complete without acrobats, contortionists, stilt walking and more! Cirque Banquista, will be featured as part of the Royal entertainment. Of course, the most elaborate costume and masque will win a Medieval prize pack fit for a king or queen! Masques and costumes are required, and reservations are strongly recommended. 

4th Annual International Book Fair
Book Fair and Arts Festival – International, national and local authors will be reading and signing books. Cultural programs will again include artistic performances, poetry reading, music and children activities. The event is free and open to the public. 

Fright Fete
In case you’re an eager beaver and are already looking to nail down your Halloween plans, here’s an idea! F.I.G. is throwing a fright fete to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Instead of being judged for your costume, be judged on your ability to be fabulous. Black tie is a must and to win, it better be couture. 9pm to 1am. 

Halloween Costume Ball & Video Disco
Join 98.7 KLUV and Magnus Media Group for a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween Costume Ball & Video Disco. Happy hour drink prices night! Best music videos of the 60′ 70′ & 80’s. There will be a costume contest. Come out from 7-Midnight. 

In Grapevine: 

Halloween Scream Train
Hop aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad for a trip back in time. On the regular runs of the train on both days, guests are encouraged to come in costume. And bring your sweet tooth – enjoy some trick-or-treating along the ride. 

Howl-O-Ween
Want a big treat for the kids? Join us for HOWL-O-WEEN. There will be Spooktacular Story Time, trick-or-treat stations, prizes for the kids, costume contests, Boo Bingo and Creepy Crafts at Cub ClubTM. It’s not just fun, it’s Beary Scary! 

Hallo-Wine Trail
Join eight wineries for some Halloween fun on Saturday October 31 from 11 to 5pm.  Costumes are encouraged.  You can pick up your wine trail tickets at Cross Timber winery at 10am.

2009 Scare on the Square
We invite you to come out on Halloween Eve and enjoy the sights of thousands of ghosts and goblins young and old in Historic Downtown McKinney. This annual event has grown to hundreds of trick or treaters enjoying treats and interactive activities to celebrate a safe, secure family fun Halloween event. Historic Downtown McKinney is closed off for trick or treaters to cross the streets safely, going shop to shop for goodies. 

Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk
The second annual Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk will feature even more spooky spots. Learn about McKinney’s history and legends. Find where spirits linger and why. Ghost sightings not guaranteed. 

Halloween Silent Film
The North Texas Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society presents the 1923 Classic Silent Film The Hunchback of Notre Dame, starring Lon Chaney. The highlight of the movie is clearly Lon Chaney’s performance as Quasimodo, the hideously deformed resident of Notre Dame cathedral in Paris in the 15th century. Director Wallace Worsley creates a dark and ominous feeling around the Paris of that era and builds sympathy for the Hunchback. Original musical score composed and performed by Mr. Jim Pitts, Waco, TX. 

Trunk or Treat
Trick-or-treat from “trunk to trunk” playing games and getting loads of candy! Kids will also enjoy inflatables, a petting zoo, clowns and an illusionist! Don’t miss this event! 

In Plano: 

NYLOVamp – A Vampire’s Ball
Come out to the NYLO Plano at Legacy dressed as your favorite bloodsucker.  Admission is $20.00 but ladies in costume get in free.  There will be a live DJ from 9pm – 2am.  Arrive by 10pm for contest and the winner will be announced at Midnight. 

North Texas Kids Family Expo
Join us for a free day of Halloween fun.  Entertainment and education for the whole family!  Costume contests for all ages, adults included.  Door prizes, games, Radio Disney, Ronald McDonald, face painting, arts & crafts and 90 vendors with great ideas and information for your family! 

In Rockwall: 

Scare on the Square
Calling all super heroes, princesses, ghouls and goblins!!!!!! Come Trick or Treat with us; enjoy a fun, family friendly evening in Downtown Rockwall. Shop owners will be dressed in all their Halloween Garb passing out candy to the little ones. Hay rides, face painting and crafts also take place around the Historic Rockwall County Courthouse. So be sure to visit Downtown Rockwall on your way to your Halloween Parties – it’s a great way to kick off the festivities!
