LEARN MORE ABOUT DALLAS REAL ESTATE

You can have you cake and eat it too- almost all of the Dallas communities are located close to great schools, major employers, higher education opportunities, recreation and the arts, and some of the finest shopping in the western U.S.

Dallas real estate is also some of the most diverse. You can find everything from a fixer-upper frame house to mansions and lots of new construction homes. It doesn't matter if you are looking for a more established neighborhood or new architecture for your Dallas home; it's here waiting for you.

Dallas Neighborhoods

As the real estate snapshot reflects, many of the neighborhoods are more mature and established, but there are plenty of more modern styles and new construction to be had as well. Among the most popular older neighborhoods are:

Park Cities
University Park
Highland Park
Oak Lawn
Inwood at Lovers
Preston Hollow

There are many more of these beautiful old neighborhoods to choose from, and a few boast some very old, historic construction from times gone by, and almost all of them have their own neighborhood atmospheres. For instance, the University Park area has some very expensive, older homes with mature landscaping and a lot of trees. If you want to spend more money than at University Park, you can go to Highland Park. Highland Park Villages and Shops are where the rich and famous in Dallas society go to shop.

Homes in Highland Park are currently listed from $379,000 to almost $5 million, and you can also find some nice upscale townhomes and condos in this area as well. Many of the other areas also boast some nice multi-family dwellings, and Oak Lawn real estate is known for some of its condo offerings, upscale townhomes, and high rise apartment buildings.

Considered the bistro and boutique section of town, many people from surrounding communities frequent Inwood at Lovers. It is more known for its retail and commercial space but also has some fine single-family homes available.

Preston Hollow real estate has prices between $260,000 and many millions as well, placing it among the most expensive places in Dallas to live. Many of the homes are gated, and it is known for being home to the biggest house in Dallas. Many well-known people live or have lived in Preston Hollow, such as Mark Cuban (owner of Dallas Mavericks), Ross Perot (former presidential candidate), among many others.

Many of these areas have their own independent school district, but most students attend the Dallas Independent School District campuses, which are well known for their quality of education. Many of these schools have been recognized for their quality of curriculum and attention to the gifted and talented among their student body. They also have a very large support system of media libraries, reference libraries, technology support, and much more.

There are also several newer construction neighborhoods in Dallas as well, and a lot of the suburban areas—like Plano, Frisco, McKinney etc.—boast many new upscale communities. No matter what you’re looking for in the Dallas Ft. Worth area, you can find it somewhere in this metro area of over 6 million people.
