Frisco Texas Entertainment
If we consider just population statistics, then Frisco is a city that has seen an incredible growth rate over the last decade. Year 2000 census data implied that there were only 33,718 people living within Frisco, current population estimates put the figure as high as 100,000. Because of the amazing amount of development which has matched the growth rate, the options for entertainment and recreation are wide open. Below are outlined just a few of the highlights of Frisco leisure.
Dining
As you can probably imagine, any city as large as Frisco will incorporate every conceivable dining option, from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. Many high quality eateries exist within the city, so many it is hard to choose which to highlight in this short introduction. For those who like traditional cooking in friendly surroundings, The Abbey Grill stands out as a great choice. Serving great quality food, which also includes a full children’s menu, The Abbey Grill likes to sell itself as a great place to spend time with family and friends in a casual environment. For something a little more exotic, a true taste of India can be found at The Tantra Indian restaurant. They provide a full lunch and dinner menu of tasty and authentic Indian food, served with Indian hospitality and full of surprises. For something a little more refined, you could try The Paradise Bakery & Cafe; this classic establishment serves food in high style, and also offers full catering facilities for weddings and similar events.
Shopping
Frisco houses an incredible amount of great shopping centers; the three detailed here are just a small taster of those available within its borders. The Stonebriar Centre is a hip and trendy new shopping mall. It offers a mixture of retail stores, entertainment facilities and eating establishments, aimed at providing a complete social scene focused around a great shopping experience. The Starwood centre makes an interesting contrast to The Stonebriar Centre; it offers a more exclusive style of shopping, specializing in rare retail and up market dining. For something completely different we have the downtown shopping area, unlike the custom built malls, it offers a shopping experience within an area of the city that has evolved over decades to be a vibrant and diverse shopping area.
Heritage & History
The City Frisco has a history all of its own. There are many excellent heritage sites to be found within its boundaries. The Frisco Heritage Museum is a history site with a difference, it is a living village designed to show Frisco life throughout history. It is a fully interactive experience and visitors are invited to take part in history through the use of interactive exhibits. The Texas Sculpture Garden is a celebration of 41 local artists, and is recognized as the single largest exhibit of Texas sculpture. It is open to the public daily.
Frisco really is a city that can supply recreational facilities to suit every taste, far too many options to present within this short page, a truly diverse and interesting place in which to live and play.
