Keller Texas Entertainment
With a population of over 40,000 people, Keller Texas is one of the largest populated areas within Tarant County in the State of Texas. It is the most northern suburb of the City of Fort Worth and is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Like any populated urban area, entertainment and recreational options are wide; we will explore just a few of them below.
Keller Parks & Trails
Keller is fortunate to have within its borders some fine community parks and wilderness trails. Top of the list of highlights must be Bear Creek Park. Featuring a large pond, two children’s playgrounds, picnics tables and public grills, a pair of pavilions one of which has a small stage. It also contains sporting facilities including 4 volleyball courts, a basketball court, a hockey rink 5 baseball practice fields. The main feature however, is the wildscape garden and waterfall, bountifully landscaped and a great place to relax and unwind. Keller Sports Park offers a more energetic experience, and as its name suggest it provides a whole myriad of sporting facilities such as softball, football and youth soccer fields as well as restroom facilitates. There are public grills set around a small pavilion with picnic tables. There is also an equestrian trail which can also be used for cycling. Some great fishing is to be had in Big Bear Creek and a pier has been erected to help with access for fishermen. For a more natural environment, a visit to Beg Bear Creek Greenbelt offers a constructed trail over 5 miles long, passing through a rich natural habitat alive with plant and animal species.
Keller Art
Keller has an interesting scheme in operation named the Keller Public Arts Program. The purpose of this program is to encourage the placement of art in public places. This is intended to increase the quality of life in Keller, by supplying interesting and stimulating art exhibits within areas of the neighborhood that are part of daily life. As conversational pieces these sculptures have proven to be immensely popular and the scheme is currently being expanded.
Keller Senior Activities
Keller takes the entertainment of its citizens very seriously, none more so that the Senior folk. The popular Keller Senior Activities Center is available for anyone over the age of 55. This is a warm community group who organize events and gatherings for the older age group. Do not confuse this organization with a day care establishment, all participants have to be able to take physical care of themselves and the events and trips organized are really rather energetic!
Keller is a somewhat more laid back area than its neighboring urban kin, this gives the neighborhood a dose of old world charm and makes it a great place in which to live and play. This combination of old world charm and easy access to the entertainment options available in immediate surrounding areas gives residents of Keller the best of both worlds.
