The Keller Parks and Recreation Department was awarded the 2006 Texas Recreation and Parks Society Class IV Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Management, recognizing its excellence in long-range planning, resource management, program development, maintenance initiatives, professional development, and community offerings.

At The Keller Pointe, citizens can enjoy both indoor aquatic activities and a huge outdoor water park, spa, and pool. The Keller Pointe is a multi-purpose facility, home to 6,000 square feet of strength and conditioning exercise area, a gymnasium with two full courts, a multi-purpose studio for group fitness, and, of course, the 16,970 square feet of indoor and outdoor aquatic areas. The Pointe also offers a myriad of classes, services, team athletics, and facilities for the citizens of Keller to enjoy. Senior citizens in particular benefit from the services and programs offered at the Keller Senior Activities Center.

The Keller Parks System is made up of eight parks offering trails, athletic fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, and more.

Keller Texas residents have the opportunity to take part in almost any type of athletic organization you can think of – including rugby, tennis, horseback riding, and soccer. The Keller Youth Association offers youth leagues for many sports including baseball, softball, soccer, cheerleading, basketball, and football. Golf fanatics will enjoy Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club, a breath-takingly beautifully tour-quality course offering perfect playing conditions year-round.

Like most cities in Texas, Keller has some fantastic shopping opportunities! Located just off Main Street is Old Town Keller, home to quaint shops, unique boutiques, and antique stores. More shopping can be found along Keller Parkway, and though still a work-in-progress, the Keller Town Center will be a great place to spend a day enjoying top-notch shopping and dining.

KellerFest, sponsored by the Keller Chamber of Commerce, is a family-friendly annual event featuring concerts, local food, rides and activities, and local arts and crafts. Families and all citizens of Keller gather to enjoy this special weekend at the beginning of the summer.
