With a population of almost 1/4 of a million, Plano is a large urban area which falls within both Collin and Denton Counties in the State of Texas. There are a whole host of great entertainment and recreational options to be found within Piano. Plano Shopping
The highlight of the Plano shopping scene has to be The Legacy Centre, far more than a simple shopping mall, this modern development houses not only a wide range of retail outlets, but also incorporates a cinema complex along with a diverse range of bars and restaurants. Consider this a recreation center in its own right, far more than a retail site. For a more traditional style of shopping you could visit the neighborhood of Willow Bend, this friendly mall incorporates regular franchise style outlets along with a handful of restaurants.

Plano Arts & Entertainment
The Art Center of Plano houses a mixture of static exhibitions and especially themed events. It is also the home of the Texas Sculpture Association, with many examples of the work produced by local artists on display. A popular feature is the “Family Days” events, which are designed to encourage young children to form an appreciation of fine art in the company of their parents. If music is your thing, then the Plano Symphony Orchestra is sure to be on key, a full schedule of concerts are planned each year, split across two great venues, The Eiasemann and St Andrews. They hold regular auditions for local residents and run a full children’s music school.

Plano Festivals
The premier event in the Plano yearly calendar is the Plano Balloon Festival, on this day each year; the skies are filled with a stunning mixture of hot air balloons, majestically drifting into the sky, marking the opening of this nationally acclaimed event. From the sound of the burners being ignited to fill the balloons with hot air, to the majestic sight of them rising gracefully from the ground, this is a truly br3eathtaking event in every way.

Plano Sporting Facilities
Golfers will be delighted to discover that there are several high quality courses available within Plano, possibly the most prestigious of which is the Prestonwood Country Club. This luxury 18 hole championship golf course combines great play with the excellent facilitates to be found within its two club houses. Regular golf outings and events are organized each year, making this a great golfing community. For those who enjoy tennis, Plano is home to the High Point Park Tennis Center, which provides 21 floodlit outdoor courts, a practice wall and a fully stocked pro shop.
